Who is a hero for me?

What does it mean to be a HERO? I have heard this word many times before. It’s a simple word which means a lot. Hero is a person who helps others regardless of their convenience. Heroes love being able to help others even in the smallest of ways. And the truth is anyone can be a hero.

I have heard a lot of stories about Superman and Batman who did fantastic things and changed the world around them. When I was a little girl I heard many tales about princesses and brave knights who saved them from dragons, spells, and evil mother-in-law. But for now, my notion of a hero is a little bit different. In our generation exists a lot of heroes. For example: a policeman who saved ordinary people from criminals, or a firefighter who recused girl from a burning house. A hero should be brave, smart, kind and the most important - a fair person. But when I think about my hero I imagine not a Superman or a Wonder Woman, not a COP or a fireman who saves thousands of lives every day all around the world. I imagine the most important person in my life. Since my childhood, she was my knight, who was guarding my dreams. She always helps me in difficult periods of my life. She loves me just as I am, a she never stopped believing in me.

My hero is my Mother. Her name is Julia. She was a flight attendant until a few years ago, she was hit by a car. I have never seen such strength of will. When the accident occurred, she did everything possible to recover quickly. It took a whole year, but she didn’t withdrew into herself. She said that God gave her a second chance. I agree with her because after this accident all our lives are changed, and the most important difference is that almost 6 month ago she gave birth to a son who was named Ivan. I hope that one day I will be as strong as my mom. I am proud of her so much.
