Ambitious designs for underwater 'space station' and habitat unveiled

I would like to tell you the news about Ambitious designs for underwater 'space station' and habitat unveiled. I have taken this news CNN rubric Design I feel that is really amazing that Aquanaut Fabienne Cousteau and industrial designer Yves Béhar present the world's largest underwater research station off the coast of Curacao, which become home to scientists and researchers from around the world studying the ocean. Proteus' protruding pods contain laboratories, personal quarters, medical bays and a moon pool where divers can access the ocean floor. The structure uses the energy of the wind and the sun, as well as the conversion of thermal energy from the ocean. Facilities stationed in different oceans could warn of tsunamis and hurricanes, The Proteus is intended to be the underwater version of the International Space Station. Though oceans cover 71 percent of the world's surface, that humans have only explored about 5 percent and mapped less than 20 percent of the world's seas. According to Cousteau, it will take three years until Proteus is installed, though the coronavirus pandemic has already delayed the project. Space exploration receives more attention and funding than its aquatic counterpart While the project currently has some backing from the private sector, it is currently seeking further funding. Cousteau hopes to engage a wider audience. "Our mission is to be able to translate complex science into something that the average person not only maybe will understand, but fall in love with." I would like to tell you the news about These futuristic concept cars from the 1950s are up for auction with a $20 million estimate. I have taken this news CNN rubric Design. I feel that is really amazing that A trio of rarely seen, futuristic concept cars from the 1950s are going up for auction at Sotheby's, with an estimated value of up to $20 million. The Alfa Romeo B.A.T. Concept cars - each with a distinctive sculptural shape that nods to fantasy and science fiction - are described by the auction house as "amongst the most spectacular and memorable automotive designs ever produced." The one-off cars, which were commissioned to showcase the radical design engineering and pioneering aerodynamics of the era, are being offered as a single lot for the filst time, with an estimate of between $14 million and $20 million at the October 28 evening sale in New York. The cars were never shown together in the 1950s and were sold to separate collectors after being exhibited. The trio were reunited briefly at the classic car show Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in 1989, after which they were bought by a single collector. I hope you have really liked it!
